Let us discuss the case of Mr. Obiegbu Simeon, 70 YO, Nigerian citizen was suffering from prostrate cancer and had a tumour as well. It was his sone who requested our Help to Heal Foundation online to provide them with apt guidance regarding the treatment available for prostrate cancer in India. Also, he had a lot of apprehensions regarding his father traveling to India for the same and whether his father would be on path to recovery too.
Ms. Kauser, our patient co-ordinator got in touch with them and assured them that they would not only get best possible treatment and his father would definitely regain his health. She provided them with in depth details of the treatment and doctors available for the same.
Ms. Kauser referred them to SL Raheja Hospital, Mumbai and two senior oncologists viz. Dr. Suresh Advani and Dr. Donald Babu. Both these doctors had studied Mr. Simon’s medical reports and opined that he would require a surgery considering the presence of a pre malignant tumor.
Mr. Simeon and his family agreed to visit India for treatment for which Ms. Kauser promptly processed the required travel papers. They flow down to India on 28th December 2018 and proceeded with the treatment at SL Raheja Hospital.
Ms. Kauser along with the entire Help to Heal team worked relentlessly to offer them all possible help and guide them during their 6 month stay in India. This including pick up from the airport, visiting the doctors, accommodation and other transport assistance and so on.
After nearly 6 months, Mr. Simeon had recovered well and was certified fit to travel. Thus he and his family returned home to Nigeria in mid-June 2019.
