48 year old, Mr. Abutawel Adel was suffering from multiple issues related to his kidney health for quite some time. His symptoms included stomach ache, problems in digestion and swelling on legs. The consulting doctors in his home country, Saudi Arabia suggested him to undergo a kidney transplant.
Mr Hisham, brother of Mr. Abutawel got in touch with Help to Heal foundation seeking a second opinion regarding the need to undergo kidney transplant. Ms. Namrata, our patient coordinator got in touch with them through phone and email. They exchanged medical reports and discussed in great length the medical condition of Mr. Abutawel.
Ms. Namrata referred his case to Dr. Hemal Shah, one of Mumbai’s well known Nephrologist of the Saifee Hospital who suggested that Mr. Abutwel would require dialysis for a few months rather than an immediate kidney transplant.
Also, she swiftly processed their travel papers that included visa invitation letter, medical e-visa and travel documents as required for Mr. Abutwel and his brother. It was on Dr. Shah’s suggestion that Mr. Abutawel and his brother flew down to India. Mr. Abutawel underwent a thorough medical checkup at SaifeeHosptial. Dr. Hemal Shah prescribed medicines for his kidney health and suggested dialysis for a few month. If kidney transplant would be required that would be at a later date.
Mr. Abutawel and his brother arrived in India on June 14, 2019 and returned home to Saudi Arabia on July 8th 2019. Both he and his brother appreciated the efforts taken by Ms. Namrata and the entire Help to Heal Foundation team for ensuring their smooth and hassle free trip to India.
