We can never fully forget the one we gave life to and how we nourished them with all our strength. Here is one such a story; STORY of The Mother which is Kolkata to Mumbai- A Mesmerizing Journey.
Kolkata to Mumbai- A Mesmerizing Journey
Cancer is a disease keeping us at bay from everything. Cancer allows us to realize who our true loved ones are.
But what if our family doesn’t support or care for us? What if they don’t have enough to care for the one who gave them life?
Kolkata to Mumbai is a long journey to come when you have no one to care or no one to call a place home. Her journey started from her birth, but her true journey started after she lost both her son. She didn’t lose both her sons by accident; she lost one son to a tragic car accident and the other one to alcoholism.
You might be thinking what to the wife of the son?
For some people like the wife of the second son; she wasn’t a mother she was just a burden to carry as she couldn’t help the wife in the daily chores. The Mother had breast cancer and the son was too drowned in alcohol to realize what had happened to his mother.
The Mother came from a place she once used to call home. She suffered not only mentally but also physically and emotionally. She came from Kolkata in search of food, shelter and medical support. That’s where Help to Heal Foundation bridged the gap between the lady and the ashram.
Her second home for which she will always be grateful. Foundation provided her with the strength to continue her longing for a new family, a new home. She did find it, at the Adharwad Ashram. One of our volunteers brought to her attention that there is such an ashram which helps the ones who need medical attention.
The Mother still has cancer but at least now her health is better than on the streets. At least a little corner in her heart is filled with some love by the volunteer or anyone who visits the ashram.
All I can say for now is; Love your family and a Family grows out of a Mother’s womb. It grows through the love and nourishment of a mother. A mother’s love can never be compared to anyone, just as the void of losing a son can never be fully filled with anything.
