Kumar Magar – A Story of Strength/ Help To Heal Foundation

For Kumar Magar, coming to Mumbai became a nightmare. A nightmare he wishes to wake up from as quickly as possible.

Kumar Magar, merely 24 years old, was struck by the tragedy of his life putting a halt to not only his duties but also his dreams and aspirations of his family.

Well, one such story of strength is the story of Kumar. How he managed to fight through all the pain? How despite people saying there is no hope in his situation? Help to Heal Foundation showed an ounce of humanity and it led to the birth of the new Kumar Magar.

The unfortunate event happened near the place of his employment where he has been working for just a few years. While he was out to put the trash. He got hit by a car and was rushed to the MGM Hospital by his employer; Mr Yogesh Gorde.

His family stays at Nepal, they are waiting eagerly for his return. After hearing about Kumar’s accident, his wife was devastated and tensed. She was tensed due to their poor economic condition, and the sole earner in the family, Kumar met with an accident. She was worried about the impending medical bills and the pressure of Kumar not earning money.

Yogesh put all his hard-earned money and his wife’s jewels into the treatment of Kumar at MGM Hospital. But since there was shortage of beds at MGM Hospital. He immediately took Kumar to the Ashtavinayak Hospital where he was admitted without even knowing about the money.

Then Ashtavinayak Hospital in association with Help to Heal Foundation helped for procuring the medicines and procedures that were done on Kumar. Almost every time Yogesh talks to Kumar’s wife, she cries about how to arrange money for the procedures that are required to be done on Kumar.

Right now, Kumar is recovering steadily and is showing signs of improvement with every passing day. Due to his injuries, Kumar is not able to talk but he is able to walk without any difficulties. We at Help to Heal Foundation wish Kumar a quick and speedy recovery and hope that he can meet his wife and family in Nepal soon.
