Most aged males are known to suffer from prostate issues or even prostate cancer. Luckily, India offers affordable treatment in treating prostate disorders including cancer which is preferred by many across the globe.
Mr. Mrinal Kanti Das, 69 Yrs Bangladeshi national chose to travel to India for his prostate cancer treatment. His main complaints were it was painful when passing urine and he used to get fever some times. Mr. Supriyo, his son could not see him in this condition and posted a query on the Help to Heal Foundation website. He wanted to know the extent of medical treatment for prostate cancer available in India, the hospitals and doctors offering it.
Ms. Namrata, our patient coordinator got in touch with them. She discussed Mr. Mrinal Das’s health condition in great detail with Mr. Supriyo. During the follow-up discussions, she received his medical diagnosis and opinions done in Bangladesh.
She referred his case to Dr. Donald Babu, a senior cancer specialist at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi. Dr Donald inferred that Ms. Mrinal was suffering from 1st stage of cancer which had not reached the metastatic stage and could be cured through a surgery.
Mr. Mrinal and his son agreed to the suggested line of treatment and they arrived in India. It was due to efforts taken by Ms. Namrata to promptly process their travel papers, medical e-visas and invitation letters that they could fly to India on September 5, 2019.
Post their arrival and fresh round of medical investigations including a PETSCAN, Mr. Mrinal underwent a successful laparoscopic surgical procedure for his prostate cancer. Within two days of the procedure, he felt quite normal and was soon discharged.
After nearly 3 weeks of their stay in India, Mr. Mrinal and his son flew back home in Bangladesh. They profusely thanked Ms. Namrata and her team for all the help and cooperation extended during their stay in India.
Mr. Mrinal was declared fit and fine when he visited India for a medical check-up after 6 months.
